HMS Ark Royal was a light aircraft carrier and former flagship of the Royal Navy. She was the third and final vessel of Invincible-class. She was built by Swan Hunter on the River Tyne and launched by them in 1981.
Affectionately known as The Mighty Ark, she is the fifth Royal Navy ship to have borne the name of the 1587 flagship that defeated the Spanish Armada in 1588. Originally intended to be named Indomitable to match the rest of the class, this was changed due to the public reaction to the loss of the Ark Royal name after the scrapping of the previous Ark Royal in 1980, after 30 years' service.
Originally due to be retired in 2016, Ark Royal was instead decommissioned on Friday 11 March 2011, as part of the Navy restructuring portion of the 2010 Strategic Defence and Security Review. After Ark Royal's decommissioning HMS Albion replaced her as the Royal Navy flagship.

zip.png Mach Loop Challenge 2.0 HOT

Download

The Mach Loop is a set of  Welsh valleys, situated between Dolgellau in the north, and Machynlleth in the south  (and from which the Mach Loop gets its name), which are regularly used for low level flight training, with flying as low as 250 feet (76 metres) from the nearest terrain.

The Mach Loop Challenge is a scenario on the BAE Typhoon training simulator. It consists of a series of "Gates"  the pilot must pass through to complete the challenge. We have replicated this in Flight gear.

An  example of the  challenge can be seen on this video:-

https://youtu.be/XK0Y1sfijLY

We have 3 versions of the  challenge available:-

Mach loop challenge - Based of the BAE version, you must pass though all gates and not exceed mach 1  while in the loop. Your course time will be  printed on screen as you exit the course.

Mach loop - Unlimited. As above, but with no max speed limit.

Moli Loop - An extended course in the same area. Speed restrictions apply.

How to install.

Unzip the package and copy the files and folder to your FG install/Data/AI folder.

The Scenarios should now be available  from your AI/Scenarios menu in sim.

The scenarios are closest to EGOD for starting or you could start at EGOV and fly south  to EGOD to pick up the loop.
