Yeah, I didn't do that yet - gallivanting instead of coding :) Done now, though...

The T5 I have :

Main Gear wheels do rotate
Nose wheel rotates above about 40 kts
Suspension very bouncy (not sure whether this is wrong or not..)
AP speed hold doesn't work (just goes to full throttle) think Alt hold works, not sure about HDG hold/FMS, GPS

And this happened - Twice on the same taxi run !! :

Me & Algy :

Porcy :cheer:

Lightning DOES strike twice.

OK, what do I need to do to get you started? Map up something to the jpeg you put in the folder?

Sometime during your random paint about, could you please swap these reg's ??

thebroons wrote: Daggum Warty - y'are a picky bugger. I'll bite - you rename the xml to suit and gimme a list of regs to go with each one (like in a remmed out bit of each file.
Then I'll edit the images to suit.

Can't have any anorak. Come to think of it, living in FLA I don't HAVE an anorak!

Gauntlet thrown....

Alright Warty -

The Gazelle image tweaks are made. I didn't change the names of the xml as I generally like for them to be more informative but concise. In the cloud.

Sir, at your service, sir! ;)

Thanks, Gary. I'll be back on the Lightning project next week, I hope - real life has put me on temporary FG hiatus for a few weeks.

Well, I've just found the AP on this flasher unit...

The frequency of flashing relates to supply voltage. The lower the voltage, the slower the flashing.

The frequency is calibrated to be:
80 cycles / minute (1.3Hz) at 21.5V - this would be with a pretty flat battery.
120 cycles / minute (2Hz) at 28.5V - when ground power is plugged in, or one engine is above fast idle (58%) and the aircraft generator is running.

Estimate 100 cycles / minute (1.6Hz) with an OK battery voltage and no generator.

The mark / space ratio is roughly 1:1, so 50% duty cycle.

Cheers, Scott.

Here is the Specto Flasher Unit Type A:

In a puerile sense I find it quite amusing as it's adjacent to the Excitation Unit... and not a million miles from the Fast Erection button...

Cheers, Scott.

Alright guys,

I've been putting together a "Virtual Cockpit Tour" of the T5 Lightning, hope you find it helpful in this model's development:

www.scottbouch.com/English-Electric-Ligh...virtual-cockpit-tour

I'm 95% happy with it, need to add some more details here and there, and reference a few more pages that haven't been written yet, but it's good to go for some general info.

One of the images, showing removable access panels, helps to get a feel for the layout / shape of the floor and side consoles.

Cheers, Scott.
