Strange, I tried with .png first, but did not work. Now with .jpg it works *head scratch*

I promise that it was never a cat in the blizzard! That would be irresponsible towards the cat!!

The ground is ugly.
In FG-forum there is a discussion whether it would be a good idea to add satellite pictures. I just want to do advertising for the idea :-)

Also what I do not understand (maybe not so clear in the pictures) is that the borderline between water/land or tree-area/grass and many others are so edgy. I believe it would improve the view extremely if there could be some randomness or at least roundness to borderlines generally....

The edge is more to do with the terrain mesh and how it was compiled. Its been done fairly low, but we have proven its can be much much higher with little performance hit.

Is that what Timi is trying to do in Insbruck?

Hmm, as ever so often I am puzzled. Timi puts a lot of work into something really useful. But how do _I_ get it and how and when does everybody get it for official FG??
I assume it is to do with the attitude of the FG-core-dev-team?!?

Stuart, once you are in retirement and have more time, can you please fork FG?

Retirement, Fork-off.
The Scenery Timi was working on was never completed or released.
It is a good deal larger file wise than the standard scenery and as such will probably never be accepted or able to work with terrasync. It would always need to be a custom download which has the issue of storage for it.

Also I'm good at starting a bunch of interesting things that never get finished. :)
With that said I'm putting my scenery creating environment up again as the previous one was at my work which I quit...

Timi, if you discover a cure for this please let me know. I am afflicted with the same malady with dozens of really cool airplanes for FGFS, dozens of knives, dozens of songs and recordings lying about that are way worth finishing but it never seems to get done.

I comfort mice elf with the notion that it will all get done when I retire. :pinch:

I don't think there's a cure. It's just part of ones personality. I once did this particular
personality test here: www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp

Then tried to read all sorts of sites and whatnot to understand more and this book too:

I HATE that! First I loose time doing this test (I have tons of other things to do) and then I read the results and pretty much everything is true. What the heck! Hans, go mow the lawn. Stop thinking how this is possible.

"THANKS" Timi ;-)

I think the ”cure” in my case would be a person whom likes to execute plans to make my ideas come true. But that’s not going to happen very often now is it? :)

Hmm, I think here is a true strength of team work. In a team that harmonizes one can kick the other one's butt any time he gets off course. You can always remind each other of the actual goal.

Of course in a not so successful team all members start arbitrary projects without finishing any of them and the mess is even bigger than staying alone since now suddenly you get distracted by the interesting stuff the others are doing ;-)

Yeah, I was thinking that all developers here are like Judge Dredd, the judge, the jury and the executioner in the same person. So it takes time to get stuff finished...
