The Route






On Mac OSX in your home/name folder, Library/ApplicationSupport/FlightGear/
It will leave you a time log for each Loop. MachLoop-times.log MoliLoop-times.log

Example - 5.3.2017, 16:43:11, Neilson, Harrier-GR9, 250.74


Windows/Linax have the same files in the same-ish place.

Windows users the contents on the zip go in:-
YourFGinstallFolder/data/AI

My wife is working away, so sat night is free to play! (as long as the kids go to bed without hassle...)

As I've recently done a fresh install on my PC, will I need to install the aircraft models used by other players in order to see them?

- If so, can people please suggest what they will be flying so I can download the model from the appropriate repository?

Will I need to download a scenario like the mach-loop with flashy hoops to fly through?

I'll get the scenery tiles now using TerraMaster.

I'll also plan on using a real flying helmet and oxygen mask so you get my voice in a close nature to the real thing, and also I hear you in that manner too!

there will be a AI pack, but easy install all files go in data/AI

Then in game select the scenario.

I'm hoping to have my machine up and running, and to be home from work in time to take part in this, seeing as a kind neighbour has offered me the loan of a joystick while mine are playing up ;)

What are the permitted aircraft for the race?

I tried it out. Good fun. The orange text with the result is really difficult to read though, at least at 4k resolution. Maybe some darker color?

It will mostly be a heli race, but as all good FGUK races any aircraft for the last hour :evil:


I will have a look at the text colour.
Orange text over the uk is easy to read but the grand canyon is a red/orange colour.

just checked it, I am not sure how to add it to the loop code.
The orange seems to be FG's default colour for chat text.

Changing its colour will need other files in FG to be changed or I find a way in the loop code too change it there.

That one seems to be a branch of FG last up dated 2015.

It dose not have the background on it.

looking in to the screen.nas and gui stuff to see if I can adjust it.

I think you can get around it by specifying the text as a different... how can I put it... "crew member?"

I believe the colors are not easily customisable, however, I think you can just output the text as if from a different "crew member" to use the set colour for that type. I've come across it somewhere - I'll try and have my FG PC set up by tomorrow so I can look into it, if it helps?
